💭“When in doubt, write it out.” — a gentle reminder as we transition into a new year of unknown.
Lately I’ve been finding comfort in quiet seated meditation and journaling. As the year comes to a close, I’m still trying the process the amount of personal changes I’ve accumulated throughout the year. Growth comes along with change, as change comes with a series of unavoidable decisions on what stays in and out of your focus.
By sitting quietly, the mind learns to take a break on all sensory stimulations. As the external voices quiet down, I find it soothing to open my journal and just write. I don’t always write in full sentences or in my best handwriting, point is to take ten minutes a day to declutter the overloaded mind.
We may all have different approaches to personal wellness. The most important thing is that we find a small, doable daily ritual and stick to it. Let it be taking a long walk, stretching in the morning, or simply making yourself a cup of hot tea... pick something that lights you up and keeps you grounded.
We began the year with curiosity; now we close the year with gratitude. The light within me bows to the light within you, thanking you for being on this journey with me! 🙏🏼
當心裡充滿未知、不確定時,我選擇將在腦海裡飄過的一切寫在白紙上。來到2020的尾聲,我的練習開始融入更多的冥想及書寫。這一年來所累積的改變,說實在的⋯我還在消化當中。成長背後一定伴隨著改變,而改變使我們一定要在堅持和放下之間做出選擇。
靜心冥想能幫助我們把活躍的視覺、聽覺感官按下暫停鍵。當外界的雜音越來越小時,我才能夠專心地將內心的聲音整理成一行一行的文字。寫下的不一定是最完整的字句,且字跡不完全工整⋯但每天花十分鐘把腦袋的垃圾分類、清空已經慢慢成為每日必需。
每個人需要的自我照護方式不盡相同,可能是獨自散步、晨間伸展,甚至是很簡單地為自己沖泡一杯熱茶⋯ 最重要的是我們找到自己喜歡、能夠每天做到的一件小事,讓心更能夠定下來。
我們帶著好奇心揭開今年的序幕,也準備懷著感恩的心結束這不容易的一年。感謝這一路上能與大家相遇,願我們在這條路上能夠一起發光發亮!✨
